Ayurveda is a science of life. Ayurveda accepts and asserts that every entity on this earth, living or non-living is produced by the five primordials or five pentads or Pancha Mahabhootas.
All living things in the world have Jeevatmas i.e. ‘individual souls’ or ‘unit souls’ which are part and parcel of cosmic i.e. Paramatma or the ‘Almighty Himself’.
Every living things through its ‘Jeevatma’ or individual souls is connected to every other living thing through ‘Paramatma’ or ‘Cosmic Soul’.
Not only that, but even everything, living or non-living is in connection directly or indirectly with every other living or non-living in the universe either through five basic elements i.e. Panchamahabhootas or Five Primordials or through cosmic soul or Parmatma.
Everything in this universe is acting and reacting with every other thing in it, in one way or other.
It holds that human being is a creation and epitome of mother nature according to ‘Human body – Cosmos Principle’ or ‘Pind – Brahmand Nyaya’.
‘Basic Principle of Ayurveda’ are founded on ‘Three Basic Omnisubstances’ i.e. Trigunas, on five Primordial or Five Pentades i.e. Panchamahabhootas and also on Three basic elements or humors i.e. Tridoshas. The basic principles of Ayurved are applicable to any and every human being this earth.
Ayurveda imparts its profound knowledge to the world without reservations or sanctions and also accepted new ideas from one another with broad and open mind.
Naturally Ayurveda progressed speedily in depth and expanse and became the first most developed medical science in the world.
Even modern concept of ‘Complimentary Medicine’ was put forward hundreds of years before by one of the champion of Ayurveda saying, ‘Study of one science cannot give definite and perfect knowledge of the related subject.’ So to attain accuracy, competence and mastery in medical profession a physician should undergo comparative study of number of different medical disciplines.
