Baddha Konasana
This is an asana like a butterfly pose. It gives a good stretch to thighs, groin area and knees. It improves the flexibility of this region and increases the blood flow to that area. Doing Baddha Konasana regularly can be good if you are in the process of conceiving.
Pashchimottanasana
Paschimottanasana is a seating asana with forward bend and head touching the knees. This asana is useful for fertility because it puts pressure on and stimulates ovaries and uterus. It also reduces stress and gives a stretch to hamstrings, hips and lower back.
Sarvangasana
Sarvangasana is raising your body to form a ninety degree angle to the floor. This asana gives a stretch to your entire body and soothes your mind as well. It stimulates the thyroid gland, the gland that is closely associated with fertility. Dysfunction of this gland causes excessive or low secretion of thyroxin which leads to hormonal imbalance. Sarvangasana also strengthens uterine ligament.
Matsyasana
Matsyasana is a fish like pose that stretches and strengthens legs and abdominal organs and increases blood flow to the reproductive organs. While this asana, your thyroid and parathyroid glands are stimulated in a positive way. This increases blood flow to the pituitary gland. This is good addition to fertility treatment.
Upavishta Konasana
Upavishta Konasana is stretching hands as well as feet. It also stretches spine, buttocks, inner thighs and hamstrings, thus increasing the pelvic blood circulation. This asana stimulates ovaries thus making a positive impact on ovulation and conception.
Shirshasana
Shirshasana or headstand is known as the King of Asanas. It is a main posture from Hath Yoga and has many benefits. In this asana, you stand on the head with the support of the hands. Shirshasana stimulates the functioning and co-ordination of pineal, hypothalamus and pituitary glands. It reduces fatigue and anxiety. This creates a condition of well-being in the body and facilitates pregnancy.
